About the words with letters
Searching by contained letters is the fastest way to work through a partially filled puzzle answer, and it is also handy for spelling practice around tricky letter clusters such as ough, tion or eigh.
Requiring the letters in order behaves like a subsequence search: the letters must appear left to right, but other letters may sit between them.
