About the rhyming words

This tool compares word endings and common rhyme families rather than a full pronunciation dictionary, so it favours reliable spelling-based rhymes. Strong matches share three or more final letters and a matching final vowel sound pattern; near rhymes share less.

For songwriting, near rhymes are often more interesting than perfect ones — they keep a line singable without sounding forced.

Frequently asked questions

Are these perfect rhymes?

Strong matches usually are. Because English spelling and sound diverge, always read a candidate aloud before committing to it.

Why do some rhymes look unrelated?

Near rhymes share a shorter ending. They are listed separately so you can ignore them if you want strict matches.
